One component of a 10-acre, mixed-use economic development is an exciting new high school
The existing George Mason High School was being demolished. But, as part of a joint economic development initiative between the school board and city council, the new replacement high school was already planned. Our job? Architecture, interior design, and planning services for this new six-story, urban-model high school.
The design of the new school—ultimately renamed Meridian High School—combines modern materials with traditional brick for a contemporary aesthetic that will stand the test of time. Interiors will also be designed with an eye toward tomorrow, with flexible floorplans that provide security, efficiency, and adaptability to support programs and educational needs as they evolve.
Now complete, Meridian High School provides students and teachers with a variety of spaces—informed by the priorities of flexibility, visual transparency, and natural daylighting. The academic setting encourages creative thought, community building, and individual growth.
