Designing an aesthetic lighting system to highlight the exterior of Rundel Memorial Library
To provide the community and visitors alike with a wonderful light show, we designed an aesthetic lighting system to highlight the exterior of the nationally historic Rundel Library using an existing LED lighting system purchased by the city but never used.
This system allows easy interface with any PC to provide scheduled nighttime operation along with pre-programmed light shows that can be easily adjusted by the end user. The addressable fixtures can be programmed for RGB or white light output in continuous or strobing patterns.
We presented concepts to the city, took an inventory of the existing system to determine additional needs, and tested the existing system for functionality. We also pinpointed mounting locations and determined mounting methods for many different conditions, addressed security issues, and ensured system flexibility and user-friendliness.
Now the library is a city highlight—day and night!
