Putting the fun in wayfinding
LINK at Douglas, a new mixed-use destination in Miami, features multiple apartment buildings, a grocery store, restaurants, and direct access to a Metrorail station. The client engaged our team to assist them with branding and wayfinding.
As part of our larger branding effort, the client tasked our team with creating consistent wayfinding for the central garage serving all types of visitors and residents. The complicated space required a cohesive system with intuitively readable solutions. We divided each level of the seven-story garage into zones with bright, bold colors, high contrasting message identification, and geometric shapes to designate individual parking spaces, pedestrian entrances, and pathways for a variety of users.
The result is a parking garage that feels refreshingly lively and fun, with easy-to-understand wayfinding. This creates a clear connection between the garage and residential, retail, transit, and workplace areas and reinforces the identity of a new district.
