Establishing safe, non-motorized trails for residents and visitors in Laguna Beach
Beaches, canyons, and coastal hills—the City of Laguna Beach has it all. It’s unique setting encourages plenty of active transportation – including lots and lots of walking. For this reason, the City is establishing safe, non-motorized trails for its many residents and visitors. And we’re helping. Through full architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting services, we’re developing new pedestrian links connecting the City’s Act V Parking Lot with the College of Art and Design, and the Top of the World community with the Arch Beach Heights community.
These two pedestrian pathways—Alta Laguna Boulevard and along Laguna Canyon Road (SR-133)—present several challenges, such as terrain, right-of-way, drainage, and utility issues. But don’t worry – we have a plan. In collaboration with the City, our civil and right-of-way engineering, surveying, landscape design, environmental technical studies, CEQA documents, and final plan preparation will actively address and answer any issue.
