Engineering a road enhancement for motorists in Michigan
After 25 years of heavy trucks, the John Hix Road pavement wasn’t in the best shape. It was our job to survey the area and complete the engineering design. With construction layout, field observation, and materials testing, we made sure that the new road would be constructed to current City of Wayne standards.
The concrete road and base were completely removed and replaced. And we used current mix designs to replace the pavement with a cross section that could better withstand the heavy truck loads. But why stop there?
Alongside the new cross section, we also included an extensive subsurface drainage system. Just another way to improve the quality of road for area residents and other motorists.
