Infusing Hogan Lovell’s brand new office space to reflect the rich cultural tapestry of downtown Denver
When Hogan Lovells was conceptualizing their new regional headquarters in Denver, Colorado, they weren’t looking for any run-of-the-mill office space—they sought to break out of the traditional law firm office mold. How? By leasing the top two-and-a-half floors of a brand new building in Denver’s vibrant Union Station Lower Downtown area.
Located at 1601 Wewatta, the vibe is rawer than the central business district. While Hogan Lovells’ new office takes advantage of a beautiful space, it would also draw energy and inspiration from the surrounding neighborhood, which features a plethora of dining and drinking options, as well as entertainment complexes and boutique shops.
At over 70,000 square feet, the office boasts universal, 165-square-foot offices, a 3-story connecting staircase, and a large communion break area—the Junction—at the bottom of the stairs. And though Hogan Lovells is truly an international firm, our design team was tasked to pull in the spirit of lower downtown and Union Station to give the headquarters an inspired sense of home.
