This group of master-planned neighborhood amenities brings a wealth of options to one of Regina’s top neighborhood subdivisions
Harbour Landing is the newest neighborhood in the southwest part of Regina, and Norseman Park is the largest of 11 parks within the subdivision. It’s connected to the community through trails and on-street greenways, allowing for ease of pedestrian circulation and access to a variety of year-round activities.
The park elements were planned as part of an overall landscape master plan completed for the subdivision in consultation with the City of Regina. Norseman includes an accessible, multi-purpose sports field and a large play structure with climbers, slides, swings, accessible elements, and covered seating. There’s also a full basketball court, a large seating plaza, a lit pathway with multiple neighborhood connections, and a modern skate park with raised, poured-in-place concrete ramps, boxes, and rails.
Doubling as a stormwater detention facility, the park also temporarily detains water in major storm events. The swales along the sports field hold most of the stormwater and drain the field during regular storm events, but in a full 1:100-year storm the whole field will be under water, protecting residents in the neighborhood from potential flooding.
