The refurbishment was planned in stages to enable the hotel’s continued operation during the works

The Marriot Hotel in Grosvenor Square is a 5-star luxury hotel that originally opened in the 1920s in the prestigious area of Mayfair in London. In 2004, Marriott International acquired Grosvenor House with a vision to retain all that was best of the Grosvenor tradition as well as incorporate the style and expertise of the Marriott brand. We completed the buildings, civil, and structural engineering services when the owners wanted to refurbish the space to bring it back to life. The refurbishment was planned in stages to enable the hotel’s continued operation during the works.

Specific areas of the building we modified included converting the basement into a car park as well as creating meeting rooms, office space, and a fitness suite. The Maze Grill restaurant was refurbished with private dining rooms, and the hotel’s feature staircase required new slab openings. We will be on hand for future refurbishment of floors three to five which will be needed to complete the hotel upgrades, along with a two-storey rooftop extension and the refurbishment of the entrance foyer.

From steakhouse dining and vibrant late-night lounging to accessing the state-of-the-art fitness suite, guests at the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square can enjoy an impressive array of luxurious experiences in the heart of London.
