Robin is an electrical engineer and project manager who specialises in the electrical aspects of hydroelectric and pumped storage facilities. Based out of Arrowtown, New Zealand, he has recently been involved in the development of new facilities as well as the refurbishment of existing plants, in locations as diverse as Israel, Philippines, the Pacific Islands, Sarawak, Peru, and Ethopia along with the United Kingdom and Australia.
Robin's technical expertise is widely leveraged in the areas of planning, design, procurement, and contract management. He's designed the automation, condition monitoring, and remote control systems for a large number of facilities, and he’s also been responsible for managing the engineering design teams for numerous projects.
In the role of owner’s engineer, he has prepared contract documents and technical specifications, reviewed contractors design submissions, and attended Factory Acceptance Testing for hydroelectric generators and electrical balance of plant systems at manufacturing locations in Europe, China, and New Zealand.
Living near the adventure sports resort of Queenstown, Robin likes to spend his leisure time hiking, skiing, or mountain biking. When at home, he relaxes by cooking or watching sports.
