Executing an audiovisual and technological renovation project at Martin Stadium

When Washington State University renovated their iconic Martin Stadium, they approached our multidisciplinary team of designers for a wealth of support. Not only would we provide the security design and a new football operations complex, but we would also help by supplying audiovisual, technology infrastructure, and acoustics services that enhance broadcasting capabilities for the famed football facility.

The new design of Martin Stadium was developed to mitigate the complicated and labor-intensive set-up that national broadcasters used to go through each time they rolled into Pullman. But, we also had to enhance the experience for players, coaches, staff, and fans. To accomplish this, our team would have to develop a design that promoted fan engagement while integrating seamlessly with the collegiate program.

The outcome? The systems and infrastructure are invisible to the users of the facility. All venue patrons see and feel is an exciting audio and visual environment, created by systems that “just work” to enhance the experience in the venue.

Martin Stadium exemplifies “the elegance of simplicity,” and was planned and executed in a very compressed time frame—an eight-month construction schedule.
