Turner Construction Philadelphia Office Design

Turner is a North American-based international construction services company founded by Henry Turner in 1902. Wanting to enhance their presence in the Philadelphia market, they looked to relocate their space to 20th and Market. Rooted in teamwork, integrity, and commitment, the company had goal to create an office environment that fosters collaboration and showcases Turner’s history as a leading construction company. They engaged us to bring their vision to life.

We designed Turner’s new Philadelphia office—integrating their brand and history while projecting forward-thinking innovation. Our design concept, “Foundational Concrete,” pays homage to Turner’s pioneering use of steel-reinforced concrete while celebrating future possibilities. Exposed ceilings, prefabricated concrete panels, and embedded aggregates create tactile and visually striking surfaces.

Attention to construction details and unique material transitions represent Turner’s commitment to precision, quality, and detail. Strategic lighting accentuates textures and emphasizes structural elements with a play of light and shadow. Neutral tones, wood, and light offer a harmonious blend of industrial and organic elements. Clean lines and raw textures provide a modern yet grounded atmosphere. Encouraging interaction among Turner team members, our design has strategically placed dynamic work lounges and hub spaces conveniently located to focused workspaces. A diverse material palette enriches the environment, blending tradition and modernity, reflecting the company’s core values.
