National Grid - Environmental Services Term Agreement

Ensuring reliable energy reaches all corners of the grid

  • New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island

New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island

Ensuring a continuous supply of electricity while preserving the natural environment

National Grid supplies electricity to New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. But when you’re transmitting power to such widespread areas over such great distances, there’s bound to be some environmental considerations.

Our third consecutive four-year term agreement with National Grid includes all licensing and permit support services for electrical substation and transmission lines throughout upstate New York. Our job? Wetland delineations, wetland mitigation plans, State and Federal wetland permit applications, environmental impact analysis, and storm water pollution prevention plans.

As National Grid’s State Environmental Quality Review Act coordinator for selected projects, we’ll also prepare environmental assessment forms (long form) and coordinate various supporting studies and analyses for associated appendices.

We’re making sure that National Grid’s clients receive a continuous supply of electricity and that wetlands and the natural environment are carefully preserved.
