One of the cleanest, most efficient conventional generation facilities in Pennsylvania
The CPV Fairview Energy Center is a 1,050-megawatt natural gas-fueled combined-cycle power plant in Jackson Township, Pennsylvania. Now complete, the facility generates enough electricity to power over one million homes and businesses.
This 2x1 combined cycle plant is composed of two GE 7HA.02 combustion turbine generators, two heat recovery steam generators, and one steam turbine generator. For this project, our team provided owner’s engineer services through construction, start-up, testing, and project close-out. This included developing the engineering, procurement, and construction scope book and bid package, as well as the conformed technical scope book for incorporation into the EPC contract. Our team coordinated, reviewed, and monitored the EPC contractor, developed a water treatment plant turnkey bid package, and provided technical support for the procurement of the water treatment system, construction and start-up. Finally, we also provided technical support during the facility’s construction, start-up, testing, and project close-out.
With the facility in place—generating more power with less fuel—residents of Pennsylvania know they have electricity they can rely on.
