New housing, alongside new and existing commercial properties, provide more living and employment opportunities for the area.
We have worked for the owners of Blythe Valley Park (BVP) since 2005. Most recently, we supported IM Properties through their purchase of Blythe Valley Park, through planning applications, delivery of new homes, jobs, and associated infrastructure, and then as they sold the park to new owners. Through this period, the park has been transformed from an edge of town business park to a new and vibrant community with homes, jobs, and shops.
We prepared a transport assessment, as well as noise, air quality, and transport input for the environmental statement which was required for the planning application for residential and commercial use at BVP. We worked closely with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and National Highways to prepare the transport assessment, reaching an agreement on the transport strategy, public transport access, off-site highway improvements and negotiating transport elements of the Section 106 agreement. The timing for highway improvements was phased, assisting with the overall viability of the scheme. Highways England provided no objection to the scheme in their first and only consultation response to the application.
A new site access which crossed the green belt was approved and included measures to minimise the traffic impact on residents. Through collaboration and technical knowledge, our team continues to help this community grow.
