Connecting to nature through design
Improved functionality brought Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s two offices together and a common appreciation of the local community will keep them connected. The company’s 300 employees have become a more unified team in the new Hill Tower 3 building, an inviting new work space we designed using the concept “connection to nature.”
Like Stantec, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada respects the prairie landscape and appreciates the importance of sustainable agricultural solutions. “Connection to nature” was the perfect design philosophy. Our respect for the environment drove the building’s design, which targets LEED CI Certification and uses sustainable materials throughout. Graphics in the reception area and staff kitchenettes visually express Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s impact on our world. Moving through each space, clients and staff are greeted by images of golden wheat fields, farmers combining, a herd of cattle, and a cowboy silhouetted against the setting sun.
