Mike has experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system designs for health care, educational, commercial, and laboratory buildings. He particularly enjoys working in the health care sector where his system designs can have a positive impact on the patients and employees.
As a mechanical designer, Mike’s been responsible for directing the design of projects of various scales, from conceptual and schematic design through document production. He has a deep understanding of mechanical engineering and the design process for large-scale and high-tech buildings systems. These include variable air volume, dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) with chilled beams or variable refrigerant flow, chilled and hot water systems plant design, and air- and water-cooled mission critical systems—just to name a few!
When he isn’t designing mechanical systems, you’ll find Mike cooking, listening to and playing music, gardening, foraging, playing tennis, hiking, surfing, and snowboarding. A naturalist at heart, he loves spending time outdoors.
