Paul’s goal is to elevate high-performance design solutions that are integrated with architecture. Systems that bring a greater whole to the project like radiant cooling, chilled beam technology, underfloor air distribution, and displacement ventilation. As the engineering discipline lead for our Philadelphia office, Paul has overseen growth in healthcare, higher education, and laboratory research facility work as well as led strategic projects and initiatives for core clients.
In a recent project—a 250,000 square foot ambulatory care facility—that incorporated 18 different clinical practices, Paul and his team improved performance with a strategic plan and optimized systems including active and passive chilled beam technology, low fan power strategies, and energy modeling. System commissioning and post-occupancy energy measurement and verification will ensure the building systems are optimized as constructed and as actually used.
Paul recognizes that projects need to have a higher consideration for design performance and knows that his strength is his team. Professionally supported colleagues produce better projects, which in turn drives repeat clients and draws more talent.
