Passionate about making sure people can get around safely, Lori is a professional engineer experienced in the planning and design of transportation projects. Her background includes both highway and traffic engineering, where she’s performed alternative alignment studies, trail and bicycle facility design, and roadway reconstruction projects that involved bridge structures. She also has experience with the maintenance of traffic design and impact and feasibility studies, particularly for high accident intersections and neighborhood streets.
One of Lori’s many community-focused goals is to help create safer streets by incorporating context sensitive and complete street design elements into transportation projects. By using features such as bike lanes, shared use paths, sidewalks, and pedestrian refuges—in combination with traffic calming features like reduced speeds and lane width—roadways can become a safer place for everyone to use.
Outside of work, Lori enjoys walking, gardening, reading, and spending time with family.
