Supporting a city’s mission for a healthier community
The City of Franklin and its mayor are committed to the health of community residents, particularly in relation to the use and misuse of substances such as alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, opioids, vaping, methamphetamines, and the like. The City selected us to provide an epidemiological analysis and consultation to study the distribution, potential patterns, and associated factors related to use and misuse of these substances.
Our team assisted the City’s Drug Task Force with the collection, interpretation, and evaluation of substance use data. As with many communities, Franklin is undergoing a crisis of opioid addition among its residents, so the data collected and analysis of these substances were of particular interest.
The City plans to use the results of this study to help strengthen and inform their local policies, programs, messaging, and actions.
