An embedded communication network and service platform can improve resident services
Within Melbourne's South Yarra suburb, Australia's largest build-to-rent project by Greystar and Fender Katsalidis aims to provide the community with industry-leading housing. A crucial part of the building's design requires smart functionality to support our client’s goal for data transfer between all engineering services on-site and reduce the amount of cabled infrastructure and hardware across the site. All while creating a secure and comfortable atmosphere for occupants.
Our role? We delivered an embedded communication network (ECN) and integrated services platform (ISP) that connects to all building services and systems. Achieved through ISP, we created a structure that enables data from various building systems to be collected, consolidated, processed, analysed, presented, and made available for other enterprise and mobile applications.
Our solution gives the client a clear vision of the building operation through a single mobile-first platform, accommodating the two dominant forms of data infrastructure in use. While at home or away, occupants can make service facility bookings, receive parcel delivery notifications, allow access for visitors, log maintenance requests, and much more. Smart building services support the longevity of equipment and services and provides building occupants with control of their indoor environments.
