Improving the customer experience at Perth International Airport
Terminal 4 at Perth Airport is home to Gates 7-15, providing a home to Qantas, its lounges and an associated range of passenger facilities and retail outlets. Looking to refit the retail units numbered 11 and 12, the challenge for Perth Airport Pty Ltd (PAPL) and tenants was to raise the sunken unit floors to match concourse level and adjust the ceiling heights.
Working from existing drawings, plans, and tenancy schedules, Stantec consultants presented findings within deadline to allow PAPL to make an informed decision regarding the proposed work and its anticipated impact on services. Subsequent site investigations uncovered limited documentation but revealed an additional roof within the roof. We worked closely with the stakeholders and the client to deliver the desired floor and ceiling levels while producing quality documentation for use by the airport authority moving forward.
As a result, this project both improved amenities for travellers and enhanced the flow of movement through the airport concourse.
