As an architect, Joel has decades of design experience across a broad range of building types. Recent projects have totaled over five million square feet (465 thousand square metres) of laboratory, process, and life science facilities for major clients in the private sector—as well as several government agencies and universities across the continental United States. Believing that a successful project requires deep engagement with all involved to understand project requirements, he strives to build a strong relationship between the client and the design team.
Working closely with various other professional disciplines, Joel facilitates the architectural programming and documentation for a facility’s construction. He coordinates the implementation of systems and equipment into the building as a whole—helping to bring the design into the built environment and create a successful high-performance building that fulfills the client’s expectations.
Joel brings his passion for the built environment to his spare moments where he enjoys remodeling his home. He also loves spending time with family.
