Managing our Building Performance Engineering Services group in Atlantic Canada, Wahib leads his team to evaluate the performance of building systems for new developments and building retrofits. His goal is objectively quantifying and qualifying systems to determine effective design solutions for improving energy performance and reducing carbon emissions while considering environmental, economic, and social impacts. He specializes in energy modelling, energy audits, carbon neutral studies, and life cycle cost analyses.
One of Wahib’s most notable projects was the design of two new LEED Gold search and rescue stations for the Canadian Coast Guard in Newfoundland. Another recent project was designing a repeatable RCMP small detachment, capable of achieving net zero anywhere across Canada. Wahib led this effort and curated a unique feasibility study to determine location-based recommendations for each detachment design.
Working on improving his golf game is Wahib’s latest hobby outside of work.
