Mie is a senior electrical engineer specializing in the design of airfield ground lighting, IT infrastructure, and physical security systems. She’s worked on projects across Canada and internationally, including Japan, the Bahamas and Ecuador. In her position, Mie provides planning, design, project management, and contract administration.
A commitment to creating practical solutions that result in both a happy client and happy travelers is at the heart of all Mie does. She has worked on a range of designs relating to airfield ground lighting, field electric centers, and control and monitoring systems for over 60 Canadian airports. Mie has also designed security and IT systems for passenger terminal buildings, airport operation centers, airport support facilities, hotels, schools, courthouses, and office buildings.
In her free time, Mie plays in a billiards league and teaches the martial art of Japanese Archery. It should come as no surprise that she also loves to travel—whether for work or pleasure, Mie finds airports one of the most exciting places to visit.
