It’s all about keeping transportation projects on track for Paul. He brings together the right team for each project, manages contracts and budgets, and mitigates risk. Often involved with project planning, he paves the way to project success through his combined engineering, construction management, and environmental expertise. As an example, Paul co-authored a paper on underground risk mitigation strategies, specifically related to hydrogen sulfides, as a result of the investigation program for the proposed Red Line Extension under Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (LACMTA) on-call environmental services contract.
Paul has helped deliver many significant public sector projects, serving as client ambassador to make sure quality and cost expectations are achieved. These have included LACMTA’s Purple Line Extension where he oversaw 3.95 miles of underground tunnels; the $700 million SR-22 Improvement Project, one of Orange County Transportation Authority’s first design-build projects; and construction management for phase one of the Honolulu Rail Transit Project.
