Jim has more than 25 years of architectural design and project management experience, and he leads the architectural design process for our healthcare clients. From large, new buildings to small, phased renovation projects, Jim is able to develop elegant design solutions to the most demanding of architectural programs. His work has won numerous design awards including two American Institute of Architects Honor Awards.
The functional components within a hospital can have competing needs and priorities. Jim understands this, and he seeks to balance the functional needs of the program with the emotional needs of patients and caregivers. By engaging a wide range of project stakeholders, including patients and their families, hospital administration, physicians, nursing staff, and technical staff, Jim is able to begin the project with a clear understanding of the client’s strategic mission and how that mission will guide the design.
