As an engineer in training, Hodhan is part of our Mechanical Engineering and Building Performance teams. Her passion lies with implementing sensible building design, efficiency, and sustainable strategies while respecting the cultural heritage values of the projects she supports.
Hodhan has experience with municipal infrastructure, industrial facilities, and federal buildings, delivering energy modeling, building information modeling, heritage conservation, and green building design. She also provides schedule and budget development, greenhouse gas funding application preparation, risk assessments, and project management. She supported an award-winning design of a high-performance elementary school in Ottawa. It received the best engineering capstone project by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University and was a finalist at the US 2021 Solar Decathlon Competition by the US Department of Energy.
When she’s not working with sustainable designs, Hodhan is a painter whose work is showcased in local galleries. She also enjoys backpacking trips to explore different architectures and cuisines.
