It’s no surprise that Glenn, who grew up in rural Illinois with an early interest in agriculture and landscaping, would devote his career to maintaining and enhancing our water resources. As a senior engineer and project manager for watershed-based assessment, planning, and design solutions, he’s focused on water quality in a wide range of projects, from sub-watershed analysis, ecosystem/stream restoration, and stormwater management to aggressive pollution reduction design.
Glenn’s complex work intertwines technical and financial challenges, regulatory obligations, and public scrutiny. Exemplary of this challenging work is the New York City Stream Management Program, aimed at protecting the water quality of the NYC water supply with aggressive water quality improvement initiatives within the West of Hudson watershed, which supplies about 90% of the city’s drinking water.
Outside of work, Glenn keeps himself quite busy training for and participating in triathlons. He’s completed two full IRONMANs and a couple halves in Lake Placid, NY.
