For Amr, infrastructure is really about community. A chartered engineer and chartered water and environmental manager, Amr enjoys seeing his projects enable growth helping individuals, communities, and even whole cities, realize their potential. With over a decade of experience in water and infrastructure engineering, he has successfully led the design of wet infrastructure including sewerage, drainage, irrigation, flood control, potable water distribution and transmissions, and firefighting networks—for developments in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
A project he is proud to have contributed to is the design and delivery of the Dubai Municipality's largest integrated drainage and stormwater tunnel which will drain 40 per cent of the entire urban area of the city. Another project where his commitment to operational excellence shone was the Etihad Water and Electricity water transmission network to carry 682,000 cubic meters of water per day via 22 reservoirs and 406 kilometers of pipelines.
Amr believes that trust and honesty are the most important pillars of any profession. When not working, Amr likes to watch football and spend time with family.
