Paola was always curious about improving the world around her, a calling she answered early as a child by remodeling her Barbie houses with Lego. As a student working on her architecture degree, she found herself drawn to questions about the bigger context beyond individual buildings. All the pieces came together for her when she was assigned an urban design project—she had found what she was looking for.
With urban planning experience across Texas, Paola excels at engaging diverse communities and understanding their needs and desires. She listens first, then sees how she can help. This leads to impactful and enduring plans that are welcomed by the communities that are connected through thoughtful urban design.
Finding community connection is important to Paola, and she has always loved the independence, freedom, and sense of community that her bicycle provides—from her very first bike ride to her current cycling adventures. She also loves to explore food, spending a year at a time cooking different cuisines to truly understand them.
