With close to two decades of experience, Tommy has worked in all aspects of structural design with an emphasis on bridge and culver design, and bridge inspections. His background includes designing superstructures using straight plate girders, straight rolled beams, timber beams, and pre-stressed concrete girders.
One of the most interesting projects that Tommy has worked on was the Coos Bay Rail Link project—a short line railroad operated by the International Port of Coos Bay. The line links the south and central Oregon Coast with the main rail lines in Eugene, Oregon. Tommy enjoyed this project because it was in one of the most scenic places in the country and the project allowed him to perform inspections, load rating and bridge designs for some of the largest bridges he’s ever worked on.
On the weekends, Tommy enjoys spending time with his daughter, and his most prized possession is a ticket stub from the first date he ever had with his wife, Kate. He gave the ticket stub to Kate as a surprise on their wedding day!
