Rick has 34 years of experience in the transportation field throughout the southeast. His experience includes roadway and intersection improvements, transportation planning, and traffic signal systems.
He’s also known for his commitment to continually improving the practice of transportation engineering. Rick is an active member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and is currently serving a three-year term as the International Director of the Southern District ITE, a professional organization with more than 1,500 members in nine southeastern states. In this role, he is involved with setting strategic plans and policies related to transportation public policy and professional development for ITE membership.
Rick is a vigorous supporter of Stantec’s involvement with the local community. Talk about a good sport…he was once even “arrested” as a participant in the Raising the Bar for STEM in Dorchester County, raising more than $2,500 in “bail money”.
