For Tara, an acoustician, the excitement of a project is how it can be a unique experience for each user. Tara has been designing spaces with distinct acoustic characters for over 10 years. She works closely with architects to meet the individual needs of clients—ensuring that building acoustics, such as acoustic separation between spaces and interior acoustics, achieve the acoustically desired result.
Tara has worked on various projects for tech giant Amazon, including specialty spaces, new office towers, and the Spheres. She is particularly proud of the work that she has done on the Salvation Army’s Ray & Joan Kroc Community Centers throughout the US. The diversity of projects keep Tara on her toes—each project has its own unique set of exciting challenges and she thrives on working as part of a team in pursuit of solutions.
The sound of her family around a campfire or boating on Lake Washington is like music to Tara’s ears. Her family is the biggest part of her life and many of her weekends are spent cheering in the stands at various kids’ sporting activities, such as soccer and baseball.
