Mesut is a seasoned Energy & Resource Efficiency professional with around 15 years of respective work experience in the USA, Turkey, Middle East and North Africa. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), and holds the title of Principle Energy Engineer / Chief Engineer for our Turkish operation. He is highly experienced in conducting on-site Energy and Resource Efficiency assessments at industrial plants and in performing Measurement & Verification (M&V) of Energy Efficiency projects in compliance with International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP). He has also broad experience in Energy Service Company (ESCO) models and Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs).
Mesut currently serves as the Chief Engineer for TurSEFF III, the project which supports the development of sustainable resource financing throughout Türkiye. In parallel, he serves as the Team Leader, Lead Engineer and Senior Energy/Resource Efficiency Expert for several Energy and Resource Efficiency projects.
Before joining the Stantec family, Mesut lived in the USA for 10 years where he worked for one of the largest Demand-Side Management (DSM) and Demand Response (DR) consulting companies in the US, and an industrial energy efficiency center funded by the US Department of Energy.
