When the silos break down, connections between people and place grow.

The categories that shaped our understanding of 20th Century society are dissolving away—from the subjects we studied at college to the way we work, study and entertain ourselves. The wired digital technology revolution set this change in motion, but it’s also driven by a recognition of the benefits of being interconnected. In our buildings practice, this age of intersection presents both challenges and opportunity. Designers are called upon to assist communities and clients who want to break down their old less-than-ideal silos and adjust to the realignment taking place in their world.
