Designing buildings to meet the needs of today with the future in mind
Caddens Corner is a new community landmark located in Western Sydney. Notably, the area features a retail development that includes an array of specialty shopping and food outlets, a dining precinct, childcare centre, medical centre, and gym to cater to the needs of the growing community.
Our team formulated all civil engineering design elements on this project from inception through to construction. With some challenges along the way, we played a vital role in overcoming earthwork issues, stormwater drainage catchments, and designs for new public council roads. Sustainability was kept in mind when it came to elements such as recycling rainwater for landscaping maintenance. We also assisted in developing authority approval strategies that truncated the program, earthworks and retaining wall methodologies that minimised cut offsite, and retaining wall heights and stormwater management strategies that increased the net developable area.
Creating physical places like Caddens Corner comes with an ultimate goal of creating something far more meaningful—a sense of community. Our work helped bring convenience, sustainability, and fun together to serve locals and visitors alike.
