Village at Coorparoo - Buildings 5A & 5B

Fulfilling the demand for additional retirement living in Brisbane, Stantec was engaged from the early stages of this project to design, document and provide construction phase services for two multi-unit buildings at The Village, Coorparoo. In addition to creating 76 new units we also helped deliver comprehensive community facilities including a dining room, café, guest lounge, indoor pool, club lounge, cinema, library and games rooms, plus an external BBQ area and bowling green.

Liaising closely with the architect throughout the process, our Acoustic, Electrical, Hydraulics and Mechanical teams developed their solutions via shared Revit model. Co-ordinated by a dedicated BIM manager, all services and structural elements were tracked to eliminate major clashes and enable services installation without delay or the requirement for redesign. This included the integration of feature lighting to the communal facilities including cove lighting to thoroughfares and pools, track lighting for recreational spaces and low-level recessed lighting for internal stairwells.

Seniors in residence at The Village, Coorparoo in inner Brisbane enjoy direct access to a variety of entertainment options and high end facilities within a community environment, reducing travel requirements and costs.
