Getting spectators on-track for safe and efficient movement to, from and around the annual Australian Grand Prix
Since 1998, Stantec has been on pole position at the Australian Grand Prix, helping to successfully manage traffic and parking for the major international sporting event.
Our team prepares the event’s traffic management plan, which includes the progressive closure and reopening of arterial roads, public transportation services, extensive pedestrian facilities and creation of a restricted parking zone to manage parking for residents and businesses. In addition, we look after the contract management of temporary treatment installations and audit the installation and removal of on and off-road infrastructure associated with the event. We also work with the agencies and authorities in monitoring the traffic control center and incident response planning during the event.
While a lot of spectators won’t notice the work that goes into getting them to and from the Albert Park Circuit as safely and efficiently as possible, our traffic and transportation plans are integral to the event’s success. With the influx of visitors to Melbourne for the event only growing, we’re here to ensure that their event experience is a positive one.
