Russell is a passionate environmental scientist with over 20 years of experience and proven management, leadership, and technical delivery skills. He’s led a broad portfolio of multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with diverse organisations and stakeholder groups, and he’s overseen numerous service-based projects throughout his career.
As the technical lead for catchment science within the UK Environmental Services team, Russell works to integrate engineering with nature-based solutions. He has specific technical expertise in environmental systems modelling and uncertainty, in both a commercial and research setting—with publications in peer reviewed journals.
A chartered scientist and environmentalist, Russell holds a PhD in water quality modelling and uncertainty from the Imperial College, and he’s a member of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management.
