As a planning director, Mark has extensive experience in large-scale residential and employment land promotion, planning applications, and appeals on brownfield, greenfield, and green belt land. He provides planning advice to landowners, developers and land promoters, national and regional house builders, local authorities and public-sector clients across the UK. Working collaboratively with project teams to develop and deliver a client’s vision, he also works with councils and stakeholders at all levels to win support in development plans and favourable planning permissions.
Mark has been at the forefront of promoting several large-scale sites through the New Growth Points initiative and Eco-town programme, as well as the Wolfson Economics Prize on successfully delivering New Garden Cities and urban extensions. Recently, he secured permission from the Secretary of State for up to 1,200 homes, primary school, and associated development in Uttlesford District.
When he’s not informing and delivering successful places and communities, Mark enjoys a sporting challenge. Having been an active half- and full-marathon runner, he now likes mountain and road cycling with friends.
