Matthew is a chartered civil and geotechnical engineer with 35 years of experience across multiple dam, hydro, transmission, and distribution market sectors. With senior leadership experience at executive level, Matthew is often on joint venture and alliance boards.
As technical discipline lead for the UK Dams and Hydro team, he provides governance and oversight of project delivery and oversees the development of overall capability in the dams, reservoirs, and hydropower sector. In his additional role as market sector lead for the UK Transmission and Distribution group, Matthew develops and sets strategy. He’s also client service manager across all disciplines for primary UK utility clients including National Grid, UK Power Networks, and SSE.
Matthew has major project experience in water, power, nuclear, rail, and highway projects for clients such as Highways England, Network Rail, Cross Rail, Horizon (Wylfa), Nugen (Moorside), and Sellafield Limited (Design Services Alliance).
