As an associate architect, David is experienced at working on complex urban developments—he loves the transformational potential of good architecture. He brings energy to his projects and prides himself in client engagement, team collaboration, and problem solving. Working within our Community Development team, he’s responsible for maintaining the quality of our architectural design offer with a focus on sustainable design, retrofit, and fire safety—with a particular emphasis on heritage and retrofit. He’s also knowledgeable and experienced with building information modelling (BIM) and modern methods of construction.
With a proven record delivering complex buildings in challenging urban sites, David recently played a pivotal role in assisting Reading Borough Council (RBC) with their levelling up bid for the development of a new cultural centre in Reading’s Minster Quarter area—securing £19 million (US$24 million) of central government funding. He worked closely with the RBC and their development partners to design a new 200-seat studio theatre adjacent to the existing Hexagon Theatre which formed the basis of their bid to central government.
Outside of work, David’s passions are cycling, growing things in his allotment, and spending as much time with his kids as possible. One day he would like to explore Europe by bike.
