Martyn has broad experience in geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy and plays a key role in the provision of technical advice and support to clients—from owners of single dwellings to large multi-national organisations. He’s skilled in the research and preparation of detailed desk and baseline condition studies in support of environmental impact assessments and environmental statements, and he is fully conversant with the ongoing changes in planning policy.
His main focus is on the design, supervision, and management of ground investigations and the extrapolation of the collected data to determine if ground models are appropriate for the proposed development.
Often working as part of a multidisciplinary team, Martyn has an excellent awareness of the need for clear communication of ideas and issues. This is exemplified in his wide range of experience in the preparation of technical reports and specifications that translate the recommendations he makes into the engineering design of the final scheme.
