George is a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers who specialises in sewer and drainage modelling and is the technical director and discipline leader for urban drainage modelling for Stantec in the UK. In this role, he promotes knowledge sharing, provides overall technical leadership to modelling staff, and works with local technical leaders to ensure staff follow best practices and implement effective technical governance on sewer modelling projects.
With over 25 years of experience in urban drainage modelling, George acts as technical lead on complex modelling, feasibility, and design projects within the UK and overseas. His experience includes water quality modelling, real time control, and sustainable drainage systems. George also undertakes project reviews to ensure consistency and quality for a wide range of projects, and acts as a model auditor for a number of UK water utility clients.
Outside work, George loves the great outdoors, being a keen mountaineer and orienteer. He also enjoys cinema and theatre going and would like, someday, to improve his piano playing.
