Amy has nearly 20 years of experience innovating engagement, consultation and communications across a wide variety of sectors. She specialises in building trust and fostering connections, making her an asset to projects, decision makers, and the wider community.
Using a human behaviour approach, Amy leverages behavioural insights and accountability to reduce project risk and increase community engagement. She’s worked on diverse projects including transport, water, parks and reserves, infrastructure, community, climate change, health, and education.
One of her most memorable projects was the Nelson Youth Park. It involved the conversion of a carpark into a youth park while the area had competing priorities, between multiple parties. This had resulted in the project being deferred for several years before Amy was asked to take the project on. Along with her colleagues, she was able to take a strategic engagement approach, find shared commonalities, and a vision for the local community. This resulted in a highly valued and much-loved community asset that is well used many years on.
When she isn’t helping multiple groups work towards a common goal, Amy loves to spend time with family and helps run an award-winning conservation area and farm.
