Andrew sets the strategy and standards for how digital tools, data, and ways of working are applied across projects and assets—partnering with project teams and clients to embed digital approaches that improve outcomes across an asset’s full lifecycle. He brings practical experience to how building information modelling (BIM) and digital ways of working can enhance asset management workstreams, not just project delivery.
Andrew believes that digital engineering will rapidly become business as usual for how we design, build, and operate assets. To support this vision, he takes a hands-on approach to building capability, mentoring, and improving digital engineering awareness across the industry. He also co-authored updates to The NZ BIM Handbook 2023, a guideline supporting a national approach to BIM and the associated ISO19650 suite of standards.
Away from his desk, Andrew swaps his digital hat for a chef hat and skateboards across Wellington to a Johnny Cash soundtrack.
