Constant collaboration resulted in a 11,000 square foot upgrade, seamlessly integrated into the existing park

Levi's Jeans was inspired by a local teacher's tireless dedication to the youth in Oakland, California, and they decided to take his hopes of a permanent neighborhood skate park to the next level. Located in Deframery Park, Phase 1 of Town Skate Park was opened to the public, and our team was brought in by Levi's Jeans, who donated the budget for the project, to implement a design for Phase 2 based on feedback and community interest for the skate park.

Our team worked closely with Levi's Jeans, the City of Oakland, local volunteers, and Grindline Skateparks in a unique design-build collaboration to bring the community's vision to life. The result was an 11,000 square foot upgrade, seamlessly integrated into the existing park.

The renovated skate park opened to rave reviews from the community of Oakland and the volunteers that participated in the design.
