Bringing energy to the community while respecting the environment

Stantec has been providing comprehensive environmental services to ATC on multiple transmission lines and substations for years. Recently, we were retained by ATC to assist them in gaining approval for a controversial 345kV transmission line in Dane County, Wisconsin.

We conducted initial field investigations of potential protected species and habitats, completed resource inventories and assessments, and led permitting and regulatory compliance matters. These studies allowed ATC to make routing decisions based on the environmental impacts their transmissions lines would have on the surrounding natural communities. Stantec also provided support to ATC on permitting. We collected environmental data required for CPCN application and associated wetland and waterway permits for proposed overhead segments. Our environmental specialists also participated in public outreach, providing expert testimony at technical hearings.

Our services help bring energy to our communities while respecting our environment and preserving our wetlands.
