Clarke Creek Outfall

Future wastewater needs demand responsive infrastructure

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

    Charlotte, North Carolina

Improving wastewater flow means making space for 15,000 more residents

Growing communities require greater infrastructure to serve expanding populations. Charlotte Water chose our team to improve wastewater flow near Clarke Creek and accommodate a planned residential development of 2,600 acres.

The wastewater improvement project included the installation of approximately 12,500 linear feet of new 24-inch and 18-inch diameter sewer trunks with a splitter box to an existing lift station. Because a portion of the land is maintained by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission, clearing limits were restricted and pipes were installed by bore and jack to save trees.

By expanding wastewater treatment piping in this area, our client can offer additional tracts of land for development, allowing more families to make this area their home.
