Implementing a new asset management solution that includes organizational change management planning
The City of Atlanta needed to transition their 20-year-old water and wastewater linear infrastructure tracking and asset management system over to the new Cityworks System. They reached out to our team to help.
Working closely with the Office of Linear Infrastructure Operations (OLIO) and Department of Watershed Management’s (DWM’s) IT Department, we implemented and configured the Cityworks Online and Storeroom programs. As part of this process, we performed geographic information system (GIS) and data assessment and provided recommendations and updates. We reviewed previous data assessments and offered data migration recommendations. We also developed OLIO sewer collection and water distribution asset management process improvements and confirmed the City’s functional and feature requirements for using Cityworks. Additionally, we assisted with data migration, system and user testing, user training, and Cityworks go-live and support.
With the transition now complete, the Cityworks System allows the City to better leverage advanced GIS data and tools and more effectively manage their assets.
